  • Proper Torque for Trailer Suspension Wet Bolts

  • Does the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Require Any Welding
  • The JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Kit for 5th Wheel RVs w/ 58" or More Between Landing Gear # LC191023 installs by bolting on to the trailer's frame and the existing stabilizer legs, and there is no welding required. As long as you've got a little bit of mechanical knowledge, the installation really is fairly straightforward. You're likely going to need to drill holes in the frame members on your trailer to complete the installation, which should be the most labor intensive part of the...

  • Recommended Pattern for Rotating Trailer Tires on Triple Axle Trailer
  • When rotating tires like the # AM10303 on your triple axle trailer I recommend using the X pattern. This means you will swap the front driver side tire with the back passenger side tire, the front passenger side tire with the back driver side tire, and flipping the sides on the two middle tires. You can also keep them on the same side if you prefer, and rotate them by moving from the front to the back. Ultimately it is up to you. The one thing I would make sure to do is to keep track...

  • Do Trailer Tires Need to Be Deflated Once They Get Hot from Driving
  • This is a great question. So the simplest way to look at it is to inflate the tires to the max psi when cold and as long as you are under the weight capacity for the tire and under the speed rating any pressure fluctuation is going to be okay. It is not recommended to deflate the tires when they are hot nor is it needed. The generally accepted rule for psi increases with temperature is that for every 10 degree change there is a 2% change in psi. Typically tires get up to around 120 degrees...

  • Is It Normal For A Hughes Autoformers Voltage Booster To Increase The Voltage To 126-129 Volts
  • I spoke with Hughes Autoformers and they believe in your situation that there's an issue with the circuit board or the relays of your voltage booster # HU57FR and would like for you to reach out to them so that they can take a look at how it's wired and either walk you through rewiring it or replacing it. • Is Loctite Required for RV Wheel Lug Nuts
  • In regards to trailer wheels and lug nuts, you should not be using any sort of thread locking compound such as Loctite. It's not needed and would make getting the wheels off for maintenance very troublesome. Instead, you would simply need to torque the lug nuts to the wheel specifications using a torque wrench like the 1/2" Drive Torque Wrench part # PTW3001C. I have attached for you below a wheel lug nut torque chart.

  • Lubricaction Instructions For A Reese 16,000-lbs Sidewinder Pin Box
  • I consulted the owner's manual for your Reese Sidewinder, and they mention that you are going to need to apply grease # L11354 to the surface on both sides of the wedge, around the kingpin, and the skid plate surface, which would require you to remove the 4 bolts to remove the turret from the pin box. • How to Protect Travel Trailer Cover From Pointed Corner Drain Spouts on Trailer
  • The Adco Polypropylene Storage Lot Cover # 290-74844 has reinforced, elastic corners that reduce wear and resist tears and snags that might occur with trailers that have corner drain spouts. I've also heard that some customers have put some foam padding around those areas before to help further keep the cover in good working order since there might be some shifting around with heavy wind. You may want to get something like a pool noodle and cut it up so that it can be placed on the corners...

  • How Much Weight Is Transferred To Front Axle When Using Weight Distribution System on 12K Trailer
  • The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System part # C17501 is a great option for a 1,200 lb tongue weight and what I recommended. The system will force the tongue weight of the trailer towards the front of the vehicle this is true. I wouldn't be able to speculate on the amount as there are too many factors. However, this can be done though the use of scales. The scales semi use will allow you to determine how much weight is added to the front axle of the tow vehicle with the weight distribution...

  • How to Install Wiring for Jensen RV Stereo w DVD Player JWM60A
  • The Jensen RV Stereo w DVD Player # JWM60A is roughly the same size as your Furrion DV1200 stereo but you might need to modify the space with some trim to get it to fit properly. When it comes to the wiring the easiest thing to do is disconnect a wire from your Furrion stereo and then reconnect it to the corresponding function on the Jensen stereo. The only way you might consider disconnecting all of the wires at the same time is if they are still labeled correctly. If the labels are...
